Off-leash | Easy | Garden & Park | Good for hot days

Locally referred to as ‘The Dog Park,’ this area provides an ideal space for dogs to roam, socialize, and engage in playful interactions within an expansive, open setting. At the heart of the park, you’ll find an agility course tailored for dogs to exercise their skills and agility.

The Raupare Stream gracefully meanders through the park, and a series of small bridges facilitate connections along approximately two kilometers of easily traversable pathways. It’s worth noting that certain routes may pose challenges for strollers and wheelchairs due to steep or uneven terrain.

The park’s appeal extends beyond its canine amenities. It showcases an array of distinctive trees, including specimen trees and a pine plantation, as well as vast open grassy areas, making it a favored destination for leisurely walks and family outings. Be sure to keep an eye out for the intricately carved seats nestled within the pine plantation—these artistic creations were fashioned by skilled craftsmen using timber from trees felled during storms.

Dogs are welcome off lead but must be under owners’ control.
